Recently, the Second West China International Summit Forum on Pancreas and Spleen Minimally Invasive Surgery, sponsored by West China Hospital (WCH) of Sichuan University (SCU), Sichuan Medical Doctor Association and Chengdu Anti-Cancer Association, was successfully held in Chengdu. Professor Palanivelu, main promoter of the second wave of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD) in the world, and nearly 90 well-known scholars from Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins Hospital and the field of liver, bile, pancreas and spleen in China attended the conference and delivered special lectures online + onsite.
With the theme of "Minimally Invasive Surgery of Liver, Bile, Pancreas and Spleen", the forum was composed of a keynote forum and three sessions, focusing on the new technique and new concept of minimally invasive surgery of pancreas and spleen, multidisciplinary combined diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer, and progress in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary diseases. The participating experts shared the research findings in the fields of surgery, imaging, pathology, tumor and basic medicine in combination with their own experience, and discussed the latest technology as well as the most advanced diagnosis and treatment progress in the field of pancreas and spleen minimally invasive surgery.
