Recently, Surgery (2nd edition), a new form of medical textbook for higher education during the period of 14th Five-Year Plan, edited by Professor Zhou Zongguang from the Department of Gastroenterology of WCH, and Academician Zhao Yupei of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, was officially published by the Higher Education Press and distributed nationwide.
Surgery (2nd edition), well planned and organized by Professor Zhou Zongguang and Academician Zhao Yupei in association with the Higher Education Press, was jointly prepared by more than 100 renowned experts and professors in the field of surgery from all over China as associate editors, editorial board members and editorial secretaries. The book consists of 90 chapters, and is divided into 9 parts: General Introduction to Surgery, Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, and Orthopedics.
Six modules, namely, Typical Cases, Questions, Key Points, Surgical Decision Making and Summary are added to the key chapters to sort out and summarize the main contents. In addition, videos on surgery and treatment are provided to illustrate new advances in the field of surgery.
