On July 9th, the "2022 China Hospital Competitiveness Conference" organized by the Institute of Asclepius Hospital Management was held in Xiamen. At the meeting, the "Top 100 Leading Hospitals in 2021" was released, and West China Hospital of Sichuan University ranked second nationwide with a score of 943.98.

The selection method of the Institute of Asclepius Hospital Management list is mainly based on objective data indicators. The weighted TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method is used to quantitatively analyze the competitiveness of Chinese hospitals, and the comprehensive score ranking of hospitals is obtained. The list comprehensively considers medical technology, resource allocation, hospital operations, integrity services, and academic research to rank the competitiveness of hospitals across the country.
