Research Directions
Our center focuses on the following areas:

· Genomics research, clinical testing, and translational applications based on highthroughput sequencing

· Development and application of biochips, including microfluidic chips, gene chips, and biosensors

· Modern molecular diagnostic methodologies, gene sequencing technologies, singlemolecule detection, wearable medical monitoring, and their clinical translation

· Construction and translational research of advanced tumor models, such as patientderived organoids (PDO) and patientderived xenografts (PDX)

· Multiomics studies on tumor evolution and drug resistance, novel target discovery, and drug development

· Nanoparticlebased targeted and precision delivery of anticancer drugs and gene therapies

Overview
Established in 2015, Precision Medicine Center is one of West China Hospital’s key strategic initiatives. It serves as the hospital’s core genomics technology platform for highthroughput sequencingbased clinical testing and research services.

We have built three toptier platforms – highthroughput sequencing, singlecell sequencing, and bioinformatics – that are nationally leading and internationally recognized. Our facilities include second and thirdgeneration sequencing systems from Illumina, Ion Torrent, BGI, and Oxford Nanopore, a 10X Genomics singlecell library preparation system, and highperformance servers. We provide wholegenome, wholeexome, and targeted gene panel sequencing for both research and clinical purposes. The center is responsible for the wholegenome sequencing of West China Hospital’s “100,000 Natural Population Cohort Study.”

Our Tumor Model Translational Research Laboratory is a key supporting platform of Precision Medicine Center / Precision Medicine Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province. Working alongside our highthroughput sequencing and bioinformatics platforms, the laboratory helps form a complete value chain from precision prevention and precision diagnosis to precision treatment through integrated resources.

· Precision Medicine Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province & Sichuan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Translational Medicine (Sichuan Science and Technology Department)

· Sichuan Provincial Center for Precision Medicine (Sichuan Health Commission)

· Sichuan Provincial Engineering Laboratory for Precision Medicine Application, Sichuan Provincial Precision Medicine Industry Innovation Center, and Precision Diagnostics R&D Platform (Sichuan Development and Reform Commission)

In collaboration with the Chengdu Municipal Government and Tianfu New Area, we have also established the Chengdu Precision Medicine Industry Technology Research Institute – the first institute of its kind in China operating under a corporate model.

Structure and Service Chain
The center comprises three core research units:

· Laboratory of Tumor Models and Precision Drugs

Together, they form a “research – clinical practice – clinical research – industrialization” service chain for precision medicine, providing fullspectrum support for both scientific discovery and patient care.
