From Sept. 16 to 21, 2013, two famous professors from Harvard University, Alexander F. Schier and Susan Mango were invited to visit West China hospital.

Accompanied by Prof. Mo Xianming, head of regenerative medicine center, two professors had a close talk with International Office. From the brief introduction, they had a basic understanding on history development, organization system, medical services, education and research achievement of West China hospital. In the following in-depth discussion, both sides exchanged ideas on medical education, postdoctorate training and research work in regenerative medicine, stem cell and developmental biology.

Profs. Schier and Susan Mango expressed their thanks for the hospitality of the host and appreciation on the tremendous achievement of West China Hospital, they are willing to see potential cooperations in postdoctorate training, medical research and other areas.

During their stay in Chengdu, two professors also delivered speeches and brought on-site suggestions about lab work, providing updated development and future research directions in the field of international developmental biology.

So far, West China Hospital has set up comprehensive cooperation relationship with Harvard University.
