On the afternoon of Nov. 20, the news conference of China’s Hospitals Rankings 2020 was held in Shanghai, at which, the Hospital Management Institute of Fudan University officially released the 2020 China’s Hospital Rankings. WCH ranked the 2nd for 12 consecutive years with a total score of 89.57, including 69.57 points on reputation and 20 full points on scientific research.

Besides, the conference also released the rankings of reputation and comprehensive rankings for 42 specialties, in which WCH’s 38 specialties were participated in the evaluation. WCH’s 9 specialties in the comprehensive ranking, and 8 specialties in the reputation ranking improved over the previous year.

The ranking results of the previous year are released in November every year. More than 4,000 experts from Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Medical Doctor Association participate in the evaluation voting, and the results are combined with SCI and scientific research awards of hospitals to form the final ranking. While insisting on taking discipline level and clinical specialty reputation as the core, China’s Hospital Rankings also take into account the annual scientific research output. The results of rankings have been widely recognized by the medical circle and become an important indicator to guide the discipline construction for Chinese hospitals. At the same time, the rankings are often used as an important reference for the general public in medical treatment.
