Recently, Professor Qiu Li's medicine-engineering interdisciplinary research team from the Department of Ultrasound Medicine published a cover paper titled "A Library of ROS-Catalytic Metalloenzyme Mimics with Atomic Metal Centers" in Advanced Materials (IF: 30.849), a leading journal in the field of materials science. In this study, 20 different kinds of artificial metalloenzymes with similar geometry and well-defined atomic metal-nitrogen-coordinated centers have been synthesized to compare and disclose the effects of metal sites on the catalytic activities, substrate selectvities, kinetics, and the types of reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced.
