Professor Chen Mao from the Department of Cardiology led a multidisciplinary team to successfully use DragonRing transcatheter annuloplasty system to complete the world’s first human implantation operation for clinical research on Oct. 28, 2022. DragonRing is the first interventional annuloplasty system which has been independently developed in China. It has been jointly developed by Professor Chen Mao’s team, Hangzhou Dejin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and Professor Wang Yunbing’s team from the National Biomedical Materials Engineering Technology Research Center of Sichuan University and has filled the technical gap in the field of transcatheter mitral annuloplasty in China.
