In early January, the China Scholarship Council announced the list of 2023 International Cooperation & Training Projects for Innovative Talents. The “China-Britain-Australia Leading Clinician-Scientist Training Project for Critical Diseases,” which was organized by the International Office and jointly led by Huang Wei, professor from the Pancreatitis Center/Bio Bank, and Associate Professor Li Hong from the Infectious Disease Center/Infectious Disease Lab, passed the evaluation and won the grant. With a three-year execution period, the project’s partners include the University of Liverpool and the University of Western Australia.
Based on the established international cooperation in lung cancer, acute pancreatitis, epilepsy, medical biostatistics, medical bio information technology and helicobacter pylori infection, this project will provide a platform for international cooperation and exchange for trainees and train clinician-scientists with excellent ability of medical innovation and a broad international vision.
