On June 19, 2024, Professor Song Xiangrong's team from the Critical Care Medicine Research Institute at West China Hospital, in collaboration with Professor Tao Wei's team from Harvard Medical School, published a research paper titled "Resolvin D1 delivery to lesional macrophages using antioxidative black phosphorus nanosheets for atherosclerosis treatment" in the journal Nature Nanotechnology (IF 38.1). The study introduces an innovative drug delivery system that offers a novel treatment strategy for atherosclerosis and explores the potential of this system for treating other inflammatory diseases.

Dr. He Zhongshan from the Critical Care Medicine Research Institute and State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy at West China Hospital, Dr. Chen Wei from Harvard Medical School, and Professor Hu Kuan from the Institute of Materia Medica at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences are the co-first authors. Professors Song Xiangrong and Tao Wei are the co-corresponding authors. West China Hospital is recognized as the first completing unit.
