Overview

Tracing its history, West China Hospital began radiotherapy services in the 1930s, with a history of over 80 years. Over time, the Radiotherapy Physics & Technology Center has developed into a nationally renowned center for clinical care, education, and training.

Facilities & Technology

The Center is equipped with advanced radiotherapy systems and infrastructure, including:

• 9 linear accelerators (from Elekta and Varian)
• Over 20 treatment planning systems
• 2 radiotherapy management systems
• 1 MRI simulator and 1 conventional simulator
• Multiple sets of specialized radiotherapy equipment

In addition to conventional radiotherapy, the Center provides a range of advanced treatment technologies, including:

• Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT)
• Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT)
• Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT)
• Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)
• Active Breathing Control (ABC)
