Based on 16 years of experience in medical industry and accumulation of new media data and algorithms, the “2015 Top 100 Brands of Public Hospitals List ”was published jointly in April by Ding Xiang Yuan (www.dxy.cn , one of the largest websites for medical industry in China and New Rank (newrank.cn, a new media platform for third-party data crawling and monitoring services). In this contest of comprehensive branding strength, West China Hospital ranked 1st, Peking Union Medical College Hospital 2nd and Hospital of Peking University 3rd.
The List was based on Weibo and WeChat, Baidu Index and research and comprehensive calculation results. According to the differences of communication platforms and focuses, four sub-lists were also published at the same time, which were based on data collected by New Rank from WeChat and Weibo matrix, search results and backlinks.
WCH took the first place on the “2015 Public Hospitals’ Weibo Influence List” and “2015 Public Hospitals’ Brand Communication Efficiency List”. And on the “2015 Public Hospitals Outstanding WeChat List”, WCH’s official WeChat account ranked 8th.
Proved by professional institutions, there were 42,243 times of reports about West China Hospital from Dec 2014 to Nov 2015 including government media, web portals, local media, foreign media and so on. WCH’s official Weibo account had posted over 60,000 messages with over 220,000 followers. Number of followers of the official WeChat account had reached to more than 370,000, with 41 pieces of information being read for over 3,600,000 times. Through these media platforms, WCH has established a communication matrix which plays a crucial role in providing helpful health-related information to the society.
