On the morning of September 25, Professor Charles Wiener, President of Johns Hopkins Medicine International, and his delegation visited West China Hospital for exchange and discussions. President Li Weimin introduced the distinctive features of West China Hospital's medical development history in western China, including being the earliest to initiate Western medicine education and residency training, handling the largest number of complex medical cases, and encompassing the most comprehensive medical research chain involving basic, clinical, and translational research. He congratulated Johns Hopkins Hospital on its remarkable achievements, highlighting Johns Hopkins Hospital's pioneering medical technologies, medical education, and hospital management models, revered by all medical professionals.
Through this meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening exchanges in the field of international medicine, faculty and student visits, residency training, joint research cooperation, patient experience, medical quality, and safety in the future.
