On the morning of November 27, Director
Tang Wei from the International Department of Japan's Center Hospital of the
National Center for Global Health and Medicine (Center Hospital of NCGM)
visited West China Hospital for an exchange. Vice President Wu Hong,
representatives from the General Practice Department/ International Medical
Center, Nursing School, and International Office attended the meeting.
Vice President Wu Hong delivered a
welcoming speech, highlighting West China Hospital's continuous efforts and
achievements in establishing itself as a world-class medical institution. He
emphasized the hospital's accomplishments in healthcare and clinical
technology, expressing a desire to collaborate with Center Hospital of NCGM to
jointly advance the international medical field. He noted substantial potential
for cooperation between the two entities in medical technology innovation,
clinical practices, and talent development, emphasizing that strengthened
collaboration would significantly propel mutual progress.
Director Tang Wei introduced the background
and organizational structure of Center Hospital of NCGM, outlining the
institution's latest advancements in healthcare service innovation. He
discussed Japan's current trends in medical technology, healthcare systems, and
the market, expressing interest in potential cooperation in fields such as
talent development, research exchange, and cross-border medical services.
Both parties exchanged views on signing a
memorandum of cooperation, international medical consultations, and the
certification of "Overseas Medical Centers."
This visit marked a pivotal moment for
potential collaborations between West China Hospital and Center Hospital of
NCGM, setting the stage for future advancements in international medical
practices and mutual learning.
