On the morning of April 22, a delegation
from Egypt led by Professor Mohamed Ismail, a professor of anesthesiology at
Ain Shams University and head of the anesthesiology department at El Demerdash
Hospital, visited West China Hospital. Vice President Wang Kunjie warmly
received the delegation in the hospital's administrative building, where
representatives from our hospital's Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine,
Pathology departments, Public Development Department, and International Office
attended the discussion.
Vice President Wang expressed a warm
welcome to the delegation and emphasized that international cooperation is key
to medical advancement. He highlighted Egypt's prestigious reputation in the
medical system and medical education, hoping that this exchange would lead to a
long-term and stable cooperative relationship, benefiting the health and
well-being of people in both countries.
During the meeting, both sides had an
in-depth exchange on cooperation in professional fields such as anesthesiology,
critical care medicine, and organ transplantation, and planned to collaborate
in areas such as physician training, student exchange, joint scientific
research, and remote medical education. After the meeting, the delegation
toured the Simulation Center and the Rui Zhilian Central Monitoring System of
the Critical Care Medicine Department at West China Hospital, highly praising
our hospital's teaching facilities and information management.
Professor Mohamed Ismail expressed his hope that this visit would mark the beginning of cooperation between the two sides and sincerely invited representatives from our hospital to attend the upcoming annual academic conference at Ain Shams University and the affiliated hospitals to explore more opportunities for collaboration.
