From May 9th to 11th, the 13th Asian
Dermatological Congress (ADC) was held in Shanghai. This annual conference
brought together thousands of dermatology professionals from Asia, Europe, and
the Americas to discuss and exchange the latest research in the field of
dermatology. Professor Jiang Xian, Director of the Dermatology and Venereology
Department at West China Hospital (WCH), led a team to attend the conference
and participated in multiple academic exchanges.
Professor Ran Yuqing shared the latest
research findings titled "What's New in Onychomycosis" at the
conference, providing an in-depth yet accessible explanation of the
epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of onychomycosis.
Professor Jiang Xian delivered a speech
titled "Patient Management and Potential Novel Treatment" at the
rosacea symposium, presenting her team's research achievements in the etiology,
pathogenesis, and treatment advancements of rosacea.
Associate Professor Wen Xiang, Dr. Wei
Danfeng, and Dr. Zhao Lingyun also shared their latest research findings.
Additionally, multiple poster presentations were conducted.
The ADC, held every four years, is a premier event in the field of dermatology in Asia. By attending the conference, the Dermatology and Venereology Department of WCH not only gained insights into the latest research advancements in dermatology worldwide but also shared our hospital's most recent research experiences and achievements. Through communication and exchange with dermatology scholars across Asia, the team not only enhanced its academic expertise but also accumulated valuable experiences and resources for future research endeavors.
