The congress was themed”Global Action on Diabetes and Endocrinology: Science, Solutions, and Sustainability.” The program featured plenary sessions, symposia, sessions on novel methods and technologies, and invited lectures, covering the full spectrum of endocrinology and related diseases from basic research to clinical practice. The congress provided a high-level academic exchange platform for all participants.

During the oral presentation session, Dr. Zhang Na from the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism presented on the construction of a center of excellence for pituitary disorders in China. She comprehensively showcased the experience and standardized clinical workflows of the WCH Pituitary Tumor and Related Disorders Center, which operates under a multidisciplinary team (MDT) model. As the first multidisciplinary center for pituitary diseases in southwest China and a member of the China Pituitary Adenoma Cooperative Group, the center has achieved a series of important outcomes in basic research and clinical translation for functional pituitary disorders including Cushing’s disease and acromegaly.

The invitation for the WCH Endocrinology and Metabolism Department’s pituitary subspecialty team to deliver an oral presentation at the congress highlights the hospital’s substantial expertise and innovative practice in the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary diseases in China.
