Precision Clinical Medicine is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, case reports, reviews, editorials, and perspectives in the field of precision medicine in a timely manner. The journal covers all aspects of precision medicine, which uses novel means of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention tailored to the needs of a patient or a sub-group of patients based on the specific genetic, phenotypic, or psychosocial characteristics. It reports research about clinical conditions including caners, infectious diseases, inherited disease, chronic diseases, complex diseases, and rare diseases, besides others.
So far, the journal is the first one to use "precision medicine" as the keyword to name a comprehensive academic journal in the field of precision medicine. It will fill the gap in the field of precision medicine, get an upper hand in that specific area, lead the direction of discipline development, and improve international influence and competence for Chinese medical science and technology journals. At present, the journal has been selected in the " International Impact Enhancement Program (Phase II)of Chinese Science and Technology Journal (D class)". PCM is expected to publish for the first time in June 2018.
