On October 28, a delegation led by Mr. Cristian Andrés de la Fuente Díaz, Chief Executive Officer of UC CHRISTUS, a hospital affiliated with the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, visited our hospital. President Luo Fengming, the Executive Vice Dean Wang Kunjie of West China School of Medicine and representatives from relevant departments participated in the exchange.
President Luo Fengming extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that this return visit was another significant interaction following his visit to UC CHRISTUS in December last year. President Luo emphasized that health cooperation is an important component of the Belt and Road Initiative. West China Hospital has always placed international cooperation at the core of its global strategy and is willing to deepen cooperation with UC CHRISTUS through the "Health Silk Road," promoting the integration and mutual learning of Chinese solutions, West China experience, and Chilean wisdom.
Mr. Cristian Andrés de la Fuente Díaz expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality of our hospital. He stated that China has developed rapidly in recent years and is worth learning from in many areas. Leading the delegation to visit West China Hospital was an important opportunity for UC CHRISTUS to gain a deeper understanding of China's medical development. He hoped that both sides could further strengthen communication and exchange in the fields of teaching and clinical practice.
During the discussion session, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as paperless office practices, the construction of internet hospitals, and the development of smart hospitals. After the meeting, the delegation visited our hospital's clinical skills training center and the international medical center.
