The Colorectal Cancer Center of West China Hospital, Sichuan University is the first multidisciplinary center for colorectal cancer in Southwest China, integrating surgery, medical oncology, radiotherapy, and interventional medicine. It is also one of the earliest institutions in China to implement multidisciplinary treatment (MDT) for colorectal cancer.
The West China Colorectal Cancer MDT team is among the first five MDT demonstration bases in the country, handling over 500 complex MDT consultations annually. The Center provides “one-stop, comprehensive, high-quality” diagnosis, treatment, and nursing services, covering the full continuum of care—from early screening and individualized treatment to palliative support in advanced stages.
