On the morning of December 2, the 8th Sichuan Province Model Worker and Advanced Worker Commendation Conference was held in Jinjiang Hotel of Chengdu City. At the meeting, 519 people were awarded the title of "Model Workers in Sichuan Province" and 279 people were awarded the title of "Advanced Workers in Sichuan Province". Among them, Prof. Luo Fengming, deputy secretary of the Party Committeeand chief physician of West China Hospital, won the title of "Model Worker of Sichuan Province".

After the outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic, the prevention situation in Hubei Province had been escalating. The local medical system had been overloaded for a long time and there was a serious shortage of medical staff.
