In order to strengthen international cooperation and meet higher medical service needs of patients, the International Medical Center of West China Hospital, Sichuan University formally established the "International telemedicine Center" on August 1, 2019. The center connects well-known medical experts from the top 1% of top medical institutions in the United States in various specialties, and provides convenient remote international consultation services for patients in need through remote video consultation. So far, the International Telemedicine Center has successfully carried out 7 international remote consultation cases. Patients and their families spoke highly of the convenience, timeliness, reliability and effectiveness of consultation services.

At present, the Center has cooperated with experts like Professor Marion Peters, Director of the Liver Research Center of School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Charles M. Rudin, Chief Physician of the Thoracic Oncology Department of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to provide patients with high-quality medical consultation services.
