In August 2022, the Nature Index released its latest rankings. WCH got the article count of 134; and the fractional count of 55.45, ranking 11th in global medical institutions and 1st among Chinese medical institutions, reaching a new high in the Nature Index Rankings. This ranking has included the statistical data from May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022.

In respect of the research output data included in the Nature Index, WCH mainly includes life science, chemistry and physics, among which the contributions of article count and fractional count in chemistry are the highest, followed by life science.
