On the afternoon of September 26th, Mr. Marc van der Linden, Counsellor of Healthcare, Welfare and Sports of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Beijing, accompanied by representatives from Netherlands Business Support Office and Philips Greater China, visited West China Hospital. WHC’s Vice President Wang Kunjie and heads of relevant departments warmly received the delegation.
Vice President Wang Kunjie extended a warm welcome to Counsellor Linden and his team, providing a detailed introduction to the history, mission, medical services, and international cooperation of West China Hospital. He specifically mentioned the hospital's honor in participating in the "Sino-Dutch Green Hospital Project", leading the "Innovative Sustainable Way of Training Medical Skills (Simulator/Digital Technology)" working group, and participating in another working group related to medical equipment. He expressed his hope that both sides would work together to explore innovative paths for the future hospital development.
During the meeting, representatives from West China Hospital's Clinical Skills Center, Equipment and Materials Department, and Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Medicine Center, among other departments, engaged in in-depth discussions with the Dutch delegation on the planning and progress of the green hospital project. The visiting team also toured the Medical Simulation Center and Radiology Department, highly praising the hospital's achievements in clinical skills training and medical imaging.
The "Sino-Dutch Green Hospital Project" is a key cooperation project between the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport and China's National Health Commission in the field of sustainable healthcare development. It aims to promote innovative training models through joint research and pilot projects in the fields of evidence-based medicine, operating rooms, medical equipment, and clinical skills training, achieving knowledge dissemination and scaled promotion of the project.
