On September 5, a delegation led by Professor Chong Yap Seng, Dean of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUSMed), conducted an exploratory visit to West China Hospital (WCH). WCH’s Vice President Wang Kunjie and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
Vice President Wang Kunjie warmly welcomed the delegation and highly praised the innovative spirit of the National University of Singapore in medical education and its outstanding achievements in medical talent cultivation. He provided an introduction to the organizational structure, functional positioning, and basic situation of West China School of Medicine and West China Hospital, while showcasing the hospital's significant accomplishments in medical education and healthcare services in recent years.
During the visit, the delegation toured key facilities of West China Hospital, including the Medical Simulation Center, Hospital History Exhibition Hall, Translational Medicine Building, and the Frontier Medical Center. They gained an in-depth understanding of the hospital's historical heritage, research capabilities, and educational models, while also showcasing the hospital's innovative achievements in medical education and clinical practice.
This visit not only deepened mutual understanding and friendship between West China Hospital and NUSMed but also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation in the field of medical education and research.
