The Chinese Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine was permitted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Press and Publication Administration in August 2001, with a formal issue (CN 51-1631/R, ISSN 1671-6205). It was first published both domestically and internationally in May 2002, with a postal code of 62-246. This journal is a core periodical in Chinese Core Journals (7th edition, 2014), a Chinese Journal of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology (China Science and Technology Core Journal), and is indexed by Chemical Abstracts, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (USA), WHO Western Pacific Index Medicus, and is also recorded by Chinese Science Abstracts.
